Reinhard Kammler

Reinhard Kammler studied at the Munich State University of Music. When he was still a student he founded the boys’ choir Augsburger Domsingknaben and was a stipendiary of the German Music Board. After having been the organist of the dome for many years, he was appointed Music Director of the Augsburg Dome. For his achievements concerning the foundation of the Augsburger Domsingknaben and the maintenance of sacral music, he was given several awards such as the Pontifical Order of Pope St Sylvester and the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. He is a member of the Knights of the Order of the Holy Grave in Jerusalem. Together with the Augsburger Domsingknaben Reinhard Kammler was given the „Bayerischen Poetentaler“ and received the Culture Award of the Bavarian People’s Foundation.
