Sergey Dogadin

Sergey Dogadin was born in September 1988 in the family of well-known musicians. He started playing the violin at the age of 5 under the guidance of a famous professor Lev Ivashchenko.
In 2012 Sergey completed his education at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, where he was a student of Professor V. Ovcharek (until 2007), and his father – Professor A. Dogadin, as well as taking master classes with B. Kushnir, Z. Bron and many others.
In January 2012 Sergey was accepted to the International Menuhin Music Academy (IMMA) in Gstaad (Switzerland) where he became a student of the outstanding violinist Maxim Vengerov.
Sergey Dogadin has been on tour in Russia, USA, Japan, Germany, France, Great Britain, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Hungary, China, Poland, Ireland, Chile, Latvia, Turkey, Moldavia, Estonia and the Netherlands.
Since making his major debut in 2002 at the Grand Hall of the Saint Petersburg Philharmonie under V.Petrenko and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic orchestra, Dogadin has since performed on world’s most renowned venues such as Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Cologne Philharmonic Hall, Warsaw Philharmonic Hall, “Herkules-saal” in Munich, “Liederhalle” in Stuttgart, “Concertgebouw” and “Muziekgebouw” in Amsterdam, “Suntory Hall” in Tokyo, Symphony Hall in Osaka, Concert Hall “Kitara” in Sapporo, Grand Theatre in Shanghais, “Palacio de Congresos” in Madrid, “Alte Oper” in Frankfurt, Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatoire, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow, Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre, working together with London Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Budapest Symphony Orchestra, Frankfurter Museum Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra, Munich Kammerorchester, Stuttgarter Kammerorchester, National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre, Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, National Orchestras of Estonia and Latvia, as well as other foreign and Russian orchestras.
In 2003 Sergey Dogadin and Ulster Symphony Orchestra recorded the violin concerto by Alexander Glazunov for BBC.
Many of Dogadin’s performances have been broadcasted worldwide-on European Broadcasting Union (EBU), BR Klassic (Germany), YLE Radio (Finland), NHK (Japan), BBC (UK), Polish Radio, Estonian Radio and Latvian Radio.
Sergey has taken part in festivals such as «Musical collection», «Musical Olympus», «Crescendo», Herbstfestspiele Baden-Baden, Oleg Kagan Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, «Stars of the White Nights» and etc.
He has collaborated with such prominent conductors as Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Ashkenazi, Vladimir Spivakov, Yuri Simonov, Alexander Dmitriev, Nikolay Alekseev, Alexander Rudin, Vasily Petrenko, Anu Tali, Muhai Tang, Dmitry Liss, and many others.
In March 2008 he recorded a CD for “Solo Musica” label, including the compositions by Peter Tchaikovsky, Sergey Rachmaninov, Sergey Prokofiev and Alexander Rosenblatt.
Sergey Dogadin had enjoyed the honour of performing during several festivals on Niccolo Paganini’s and Johann Strauss’s violin.
Currently he plays on a 1758 Giovanni Battista Guadagnini violin.
